I have a couple of lumps around my anus that have little white tips. I went to the doctor to have them looked at and he said they were warts. I forgot to mention to him that I have sometimes been bleeding and the blood is bright red is this warts or something else.

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Warts are extremely vascular and can bleed on manipulation and trauma.
Perianal warts can be treated with podophyllin resin which should be applied by the doctor as it is highly caustic. The resin should be kept in contact for 4 hours and washed away thoroughly. Other modalities include cauterisation and laser ablation.
However, since perianal warts could be sexually transmitted, it is necessary to screen for other sexually transmitted diseases like HIV, HbSAg ( Hepatitis B) and VDRL for syphilis.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
