I recently had a pap smear. I read in the internet that HPV can be transmitted through medical equipaments as well. Can you please advise

Technically it can happen through medical instruments but only if they are not properly sterilised. But any Doctor who is performing Paps smear takes care to properly sanitize his or her instruments.
