Brief Answer:
Premenopausal bleeding

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for consulting through healthcare magic.

I understand that your age is 53 years and you havent got your menses since last 9 months , so that makes you premenopausal. menopause is defined if a lady remains amenorrhoeic for one year. So it is seen that as the woman approaches menopause her periods tend to become irregular and delayed . it may so happen that the gap may be 3-4 months initially and then increase further.
in your case , you have had your menses this time and it is likely to be heavy as you havent menstruated since last 9 months. also dysmenorrhoea is accompanied. this menses may extend for 5-7 days this time .

In such cases i advise bleeding control with antifibrinolytics and pain relief with anti spasmodics. you may consider tranexamic acid tabs and meftal spas in consultation with your gynae who can prescribe it for you.

Also once the bleeding stops, please get a gynae exam done along with PAP SMEAR screening .
hsv2 infection which occurred in XXXXXXX is not the reason for this episode at all.

hopre your query is answered.
regards.
