Brief Answer:
HSV 1 is not a life threatening disease.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

HSV1 is a very common disease. It could occur even to a child without any sex abuse. What is there to think of suicide?

Are you having Genital Herpes 1? Genital Herpes due to HSV 1 is not so common. If it is so, it should have acquired from a oral sex. Could it be from your wife? If it is not so, we can not rule out the possibility of it being passed to your wife. Avoid sex during any recurrence. That itself could able to prevent the transmission to an extent. Your first child would not get affected to this condition. HSV transmission to proposed child is not common if we planned properly. It is not a life-threatening disease. Not to worry about this.

Brief Answer:
HSV 1 IgG positive can be ignored.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

Your anxiety and fear are baseless. HSV 1 infection is almost a non-venereal condition. Very rarely with oral sex it can occur as a genital sore.
In normal condition HSV would produce lesions around mouth and nose and not over genitals. Almost 85% of the population would have this infection at any point of time and IgG would be positive. That does not mean that the disease is active. If there is any lesion around mouth, then it may likely to be transmitted to your wife or child through kissing. Otherwise nothing to worry. It is very harmless disease. If there is very frequent recurrences then we have to consider taking Acyclovir with the guidance of your dermatologist, otherwise it is not indicated. You can plan for your next child. Ignore this IgG positive results of HSV1.

Brief Answer:
If there is no recurrence or lesion no precaution is necessary.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again.

HIV 1 --- If there is no symptoms so far, then no treatment or precaution is necessary.

If you have genital HSV 1, then only precautions are necessary. Cesarean section is preferred and to be planned at the completion of 36 weeks especially if your wife has genital lesions otherwise nothing is needed. If you have lesion or recurrence around mouth then avoid kissing your wife and child . That is all.
Your immunity would not get affected in any way and no diet restriction is necessary.
Fever and other illness may be likely to trigger a fresh attack.
