Suggest Treatment For IBS And Anxiety While On Quetiapine, Sulpitac And Tynept
Question: I am on the following medication :
Quetiapine sr 100 in the night
Sizopin 25 in the night
Zapiz 1/2 of 0.25 in the night
Tynept od in the morning
Sulpitac 100 in the morning
Inderal la 20 in the morning
Went for a second opinion and the doc asked to gradually stop sulpitac and gradually start bupron xl. Took 1/2 of bupron xl 150 for three days and made sulpitac half. Didn't really feel good with this combination and today stopped bupron and made sulpitac 100.
My symptoms are anticipatory anxiety and ibs. Though anxiety is little less and stomach issues come and go. Need your advice as to what kind of tweaking in the medication will help 100% with my anticipatory anxiety and stomach issues. Look forward to an honest advice.

Brief Answer:
Continue to take these medicines as prescribed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Good that you've started Sulpitac again. You are on right medicines and with time these medicines will definitely control your symptoms.
Don't increase the dose of Sulpitac. 100 mg is fine and this dose helps to improve mood and control gastric symptoms too. For some time you can use tablets like Ranitidine which will help in controlling gastric symptoms.
You can also use Zapiz 0.25 on SOS basis in case you develop anticipatory anxiety.
Wait on this drug regimen for few days and your symptoms will improve.
Thanks. Take care

Dear doctor - I am having flu like symptoms ( pain in the legs, headache, feeling of having fever, fatigue and sleep problem, last night hardly slept). Was wondering if it's stopping bupron causing it ( I took 75 mg xl for three days and stopped yesterday) or tynept causing it or any other medicine causing it. Need your advice.
Brief Answer:
Bupropion doesn't cause serious withdrawal usually.
Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking again
Bupropion is relatively safer in terms of withdrawal symptoms. So I don't think these symptoms are due to Bupropion. Tynept and other medicines you're taking are too relatively safer because you are not on very high doses.
This could be occurring due to fatigue. In anxiety sleep gets disturbed and non-refreshing sleep results in fatigue, tiredness, light headedness, pain in legs etc. You can increase the dose of Zapiz and this will reduce your anxiety and will help in sleep too. This should reduce these symptoms.
Thanks. Take care

Brief Answer:
Bupropion and Tynept are not the reasons for these symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
I don't think Bupropion is causing withdrawal symptoms.
Tynept might cause slight disturbance of sleep but you are taking its OD dose that too in morning. This cause slow release of fixed amount of drug in body. This should not cause such significant sleep disturbance.
If Zapiz 025 didn't improve sleep in such case for one day take 0.5 mg dose and this will result in good sleep tonight and this will reduce the symptoms.
Thanks.
