Brief Answer:
anti secretory agents.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for query.
Main problem while treating a case of IBS is that we don't know till date whats the exact cause pathology and presentation of patient with IBS.In lay mans language till date we are not sure whats the exact cause of this problem. So every patient with ibs is different and drugs are prescribed as per the symptoms of patient.

For eg Some patients have attacks of diarrhea and bloating and some may have constipation. Other Patient may present with nausea, vomiting, headache, loss of appetite, muscular pains, heartburn, and weakness. Some patients have occasional symptoms whereas others may have symptoms for a long period of time.So as seen above every patient is different.Intensity of symptoms in every patient is different as so is the response to medicines and life style change.A patient may respond good to one medication while other patient is totally unresponsive to the same.
Mucous is a secretion of intestines therefore agent of choice in your case would be antisecretory agents.Any thing which relieves spasms also stops secretions.

Mebeverine is an antispasmodic medicine and is very useful in IBS and is well tolerated by patient with minimal side effects.

Clidinium bromide is an anticholinergic (specifically a muscarinic antagonist) drug. It may help symptoms of increased mucous.

These two drugs in combination would be a good option for you.
