Suggest Treatment For OCD
Question: Two days ago i went to an asian massage parlor. After the massage i got a naked handjob(the lady stroking my penis) for a min then i realized what i was doing and i immediately stopped her.Since i have OCD i went back 2 days later to check her hands. she has one lesion on the back side of right hand middle finger and one on the back side of the right index finger. The front side of these fingers look fine.I am attaching pics of both the hands. The index finger lesion looks like she picked the skin but I am freaked out about the one on middle finger. Please let me know if this herpetic whitlow.I have uploaded the pics of her fingers. Also Below are the url's for the pictures of the masseuse hands.
Brief Answer:
Hangnails. Not Herpetic Whitlow
Detailed Answer:
Hello. thank you.
I am Dr. kakkar(Dermatologist and Venereologist ). I have noted your concern. I have viewed the images.
I can see that she has a slight peeled off/ jagged skin from her lateral nail folds. This condition is known as 'Hangnails', perhaps due to biting off peeling skin along the side of nail. She also has some bacterial superinfection of peeled area and some swelling. This is not herpetic whitlow. You don't have any risk of STDs from the physical act that you mentioned
Regards

Thank you doctor for the quick reply. I am a little relieved. I have below questions.
2)You said it is some kind of bacterial super infection. Can it pass to my genitals.
3)Can i resume sexual relations with my wife. I do not want to infect her with herpes or any std.
4)I am not questioning your expertise but i am just curious. Is it possible to differentiate between herpes whitlow and other infections just by looking at the pics. I want to be 100% sure before i have sexual relation with my wife.
5)Since she used the front side of her fingers(palm side) is it technically possible for her to infect me even if we assume its herpes.

Brief Answer:
Not herpes
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
thank you. I have checked all the images.
This is not herpetic whitlow - it usually presents as a grape like cluster of fluid filled vesicles.
Whereas she has dry finger nail folds which have peeled at places (right index fnger and right middle finger) and the peeled skin on her right middle finger nail fold has a slight discharge/ pus which suggest that it has got infected. This is just an infected wound and is not a transmittable. There is no question of this being herpes.
You can resume sexual relations with your wife.
Regards

Thank you sir. Last question before i let i let you go. I am sorry for being repetitive but i uploaded 4 new pics after my initial question. Those are her right hand and left hand palm side fingers and i do not see anything . Could you please check. I want this to let it go but my OCD raked mind is making me anxious. I am feeling better after your replies.I mean to say i do not see anything suspicious on the other side of the hands in the newly uploaded pics.
Brief Answer:
You are safe
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
yes, i viewed all the images.
There is nothing to be concerned about any risk of STDs through a handjob..
Moreover she doesn't have herpes on her hands. It is just simple infected wound and it would get fine if she uses a topical antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin cream, twice daily.
Also the skin on her palms and palmer side of fingers is intact and is the only side of her hand that would have contacted your penis. So please don't worry. No need to be anxious. You can resume normal physical relations with your wife.
