Suggest Treatment For PCOD And Weight Gain

Question: I am 20 years old and have mild pcod. The gynaec thinks I don't need any medication except a pain killer during periods.
I have gained a lot of weight lately and don't lose any inspite of controlling my diet and gymming. Doctor has prescribed glucomet twice a day.
Will that help me to lose weight and are there any side effects?

Brief Answer:
Balanced diet and exercise
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Mild PCOS does not need any treatment. Your doctor is right.
You need to have balanced diet with regular exercise. This will help in reducing weight. Exercise has to be consistent and at least for 30 minutes a day.
Glycomet will help in patients with PCOS. You can continue as per advice of your doctor.
