Suggest Treatment For PCOD While On Meprate
Question: I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian condition and was prescribed meprate 10 mg for 5 days and today's the 6th day and still haven't got my period . Since the very 3rd day of the med some unusual kind of stomach ache (accompanied with back pain and nausea) I have been having which wouldn't stop, have never had it before. Is it because of the med ?
Brief Answer:
wait for 5-7 days for withdrawal bleed.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
THE WITHDRAWAL BLEEDING IS EXPECTED ONLY AFTER 5-7 DAYS after you have finished your 5 days course of meprate. The pain in stomach is due to progesterone effect of meprate and can be countered y increasing your daily water intake to 4-5 litres a day.
Be patient for another week to allow menses to resume.
