Suggest Treatment For PCOS While On Ginette-35
Ultrasound should be done
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.PCOS is associated with irregular bleeding, mostly delayed periods. Ginette 35 is hormonal pill which is given to improve the hormonal condition in PCOS and regulate the periods.
PCOS is also associated with uterine lining hyperplasia (endometrial hyperplasia) and thickening. Irregular and heavy bleeding you are experiencing can be due to endometrial hyperplasia or due to the withdrawl effect of Ginette 35, which is unlikely after 2 weeks of discontinuation of this drug.
I would suggest you to get an ultrasound done to assess the uterine lining and any pathology in uterus, like fibroid, which can be responsible for this bleeding episode.
Meanwhile, to control the bleeding, you can take tranaexemic acid 500 mg thrice a day for 3-4 days.

No need to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear, thanks for responding. Normal ultrasound means that the endometrial thickness would have been normal.
If the bleeding is very little, then it is likely due to hormonal withdrawl. It is then not a matter of concern if this is the first such episode. You can omit taking tranaexemic acid tablet.
