Detailed Answer:
Welcome to health care magic, I share your concern and I will try to help you out in best possible way.
Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden, unexplained death of an infant younger than one year old. Some people call SIDS "crib death" because many babies who die of SIDS are found in their cribs. Most SIDS deaths occur when babies are between two months and four months old. Premature babies, boys, XXXXXXX Americans, and XXXXXXX Indian/Alaska Native infants have a higher risk of SIDS.
Now my question for you is, why are you so worried about SIDS, what risk factors do you have and please give me any additional information that you feel necessary to think that your child might suffer from SIDS.
Do get back to me more information.
Will be awaiting your reply.

I appreciate your follow up..
Even though your son had low birth weight, which is presumably one of the risk factors for SIDS, there is no need to panic as incidence rate of SIDS s more than 1 in 1 lakh. Also, you need to concentrate more on making the baby healthy by feeding well and maintaining hygiene and getting baby vaccinated etc..rather than worrying about baby succumbing to SIDS. Usually there will be family history of such sudden deaths, if there are no such incidents in your family. you can allay fears of SIDS.
Hope this clarifies your doubts. Revert back to me if you have follow up queries.

welcome again,
well, its difficult to revive a child by just giving cpr, as the underlying mechanism of death is due to collapse of lungs, and CPR alone might not be able to save the child. sometimes, immediate hospitalization and putting child on a ventilator might increase chances of survival but there won't be any guarantee.

Then an effort can be made to revive the child. But if the cause is SIDS, chances are very less. However, babies usually become breathless due to respiratory infections and hence their chances of survival will be high.

Detailed Answer:
I am really very sorry, its very difficult to determine the peak time of SIDS, in fact it can't be determined at all, that's why its called sudden infant death syndrome.
I can empathise with you but i don't know who told you about SIDS.. but there are very very less chances that your son might succumb to it. so don't have that paranoia. stay calm and concentrate on things which I mentioned earlier. thank you.

Detailed Answer:
Its important that you discuss this issue with the paediatrician seeing your child, as only clinical evaluation would give an insight into existing risk factors and I think you are imagining way too much just by reading a book which mentions about SIDS. stop doing that and start concentrating on improving child's health condition.
