Good evening XXXXXXX
I see you are on follow up with Dr XXXXXXX Pandya. he s quite a XXXXXXX doctor and will guide you well.
As per your query: you dont have those serious antibodies so far. They seem to be beningn ones. Although your platelet count was low and SGPT was raised.
1. I would suggest if you could check if your CPK and LDH levels have been carried out as these tests are associated with SN/RNP antibody
2. Your dose of wysolone has been reduced to 5 mg which is acceptable for the body. You can have a bit of side effects like weight gain, increased hair growth, striae but if your disease is controlled on a low dose, you should be ok to go with. If it remains stable over time, further dose reduction can be done
3. The disease can be controlled only...Cant be cured. The disease history does suggest, if it remains stable over 3 years it may not evolve to be serious. But yes some medications may be needed. Over time, simple HCQS can control your disease if it does not evolve further.
so dont be worried, you are in good hands. Just make sure you are taking medications regularly...and have a close follow up. Avoid any sun exposure or use sun screens along
do let me know for more queries
