Question: I was affected by Staphylococcus haemolyticus in semen. Amikacin was used to treat my disease for 10 days but I was still not recovered. Doctors, please give me advice

Vancomycin dose is standard for adults.

Hi.

The dose is standard for all adults. Your treating physician would know it and would also administer it.
Dear user, I cannot prescribe the doses online because it is a prescription drug and therefore requires a doctor's written prescription
Vancomycin is given in 2 divided doses i.e it is administered by IV infusion every 12 hours.
There can be side effects with vancomycin like flushing, dizziness, low blood pressure, or muscle pain/spasms of the chest and back.
Therefore your doctor should be around in case you experience these side effects.
Treatment course is for a week.

My doctor still indicates amikacin for my treatment for 1 more week. He gave me a prescription including arginin 1g and surbex z to take (no need to inject antibiotic) . After taking these drugs for 2 weeks, I will see him again.
I'm still worrying about my disease and the resistant of antibiotic if I stop using them for 2 weeks.
Do I need to keep off ejaculation during my treatment course ?
Please give me advice, doctor

His decision to continue is probably based on semen culture report but since amikacin has not been effective even after 2 weeks therefore ideally it should be replaced with vancomycin which is anyways the drug of choice for multidrug resistant Staph. Hemolyticus.

If you feel like you can continue with your sexual practices.
