Suggest Treatment For UTI After Switching From Tamsulosin To Cialis

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Mar 2017
Question: I have been diagnosed with bph for years and have been treated with tamulosin ( 2 tabs of .4mg) has been effective in helping with the urination issues. For the last 6 months I have developed difficulty with sexual arousal. My MD suggested using Cialis ( 1 tab of 10 mg) and stopping the tamulosin. I have gone about one week of the new treatment, but now am feeling discomfort as if I have a urinary tract infection and some discomfort urinating with little effect on increasing sexual arousal. What wound you suggest as the next alternative?

Brief Answer:
Surgical correction if medical therapy usage has limitation

Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what you had been experiencinglately.

Based on the history you have shared, it seems that you night have experienced side effects of tamsulosine and it does has issue of premature ejaculation and hence a lost erection, and you are right combining it with cialis can further increase the risk of side effects like blood pressure lowering to dangerous verges and hence should be avoided but if you are facing significant limitation of using tamsulosine you can opt for the surgical correction of prostate with minimally invasive surgical options like TURBT and may need to avoid the medical treatment altogether and can continue using cialis with a better safety window.

However to start with a repeat ultrasound KUB with prostate and with pre and post void volumes in bladder should be done to look for whether prostate I'd the real issue or some acute infection bothering you and hence urinalysis as well to look for the other causes.

Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
