my little niece who is 18 month old is diagnosed for the following and doctor started antibiotics on IV
Could you please tell if this is anything serious based on the blood reports or any life threatening
Gram Stain: occasional pus cells and many gram negative bacilli seen
Organism Name: Ecoli
Methodolody Name: XXXXXXX Bauer
Growth Observed: significant
colony Count: >1,00,000 cols/ml

Looking at the reports it is case of urinary tract infection which common in females.
As per the reports colony count is significant but it can be covered by antibiotics like gentamycin, cefoperazone etc.
