Question: Hi there -

Recently I've noticed a hard bump on my nose, last night I was very congested, and sweating most of the night regardless of sleep. I have a headache as well.

I've attached a photo for reference, any thoughts?

Thanks, XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
sinusitis?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

headache, nose congestion and face swelling over the involved sinus suggests sinusitis. In your case it could be ethmoiditis since this bump is over the ethmoid sinus. If this is the case then it should be painful to touch. Sometimes fever is present. Sweating may occur when the fever is dropping.

So please check your temperature at least twice a day (morning and evening) and whenever you feel chills (if you do) and visit your doctor for clinical examination. Your doctor may get some clues by examining your face.

If it's sinusitis indeed then antibiotic treatment and decongestants would be required.

I hope it helps!
Kind Regards!
