What Causes Severe Headache,cold Frequently?
Hello,Im suffering from severe headache & cold more frequently. doctor suggested me a CT scan of PNS. the result tells that :1)PNS are essentially clear with non specific right antral and left frontal sinus mucosal changes. 2)Bilateral OMU,frontal recess and spheno ethmoidal recess are patent. 3)Mild DNS to the right with bony spur. 4)Bilateral inferior turbinate hypertorphy, right middle turbinate paradoxical curve, mild degree chronic rhinitic nasal mucosal edema - these changes causing crowding of the nasal airway. 5) Adenoid hypertrophy causing mild airway narrowing. Now my doctor suggests me a laser surgery in Nose to correct these problems. What shall i do ? by Ibrahim

Hi,
You are suffering from severe headache & cold because of turbinate hypertrophy & DNS. Since you are already diagnosed with the pathology causing you discomfort get treated at the earliest. Surgery suggested are ITBR, PIT, SMD, depending upon the severity of your illness your treating doctor will decide which reduction surgery is best for you. Sometimes, complications after surgery may make the situation worse. The decision to take or not to take surgery depends entirely upon you.
Turbinate hypertrophy may make it difficult for you to breathe. Snoring, running nose, altered sense of smell, headache, chronic sinus are the symptoms. Taking medications like cetirizine (Zyrtec), oral decongestants (phenylephrine) & nasal decongestants are helpful. Inhalation of steam is quite effective. For a headache, you can take acetaminophen (Tylenol). Always take medications under a consultant.
