Suggest Treatment For A Lump On The Anus

Question: I have a small firm-ish lump on my anus, my dr has said it's a haematoma and should go away within a few weeks. It started about 9 days ago, and has been the same size for the last 6 (about the size of a pea). It isn't painful and there is no splitting of the skin.
I have hirudoid cream at home and see that it can be used for this type of thing. Is it OK to use in my case? Could it make it worse or will it speed the healing process?
I'm asking this as I would like a second opinion based on the information i've already received. I want to get rid of this as fast as possible.

Detailed Answer:
This sound slike to be thrombosied or external hemorrhoids and this is benign condition which usually pulls back spontaneously. You need to soften your stool ,have sitz baths and apply antihemorrhoidal cream such as Preparatio H, ANusol, but Hirudoid may be good as well or any mild steroid cream such as hydrocortisone.
If there is no improvement, then procedures should be considerd called schlerotherapy and this is done by proctologist. Also, rubber ligature or surgical excision should be considered in advanced cases. But considering the size and your age, this should heal on conservative measures in next few weeks, just need to be patient. WIsh you good health. Regards

Hi,
My question was quite specific however I don't feel
You answered it.
The lump is a heamatoma - my doctor has already inspected and diagnosed. It is not a haemerrhoid or abscess.
My question was:
For a heamatoma in this location, is hirudioid OK to use? Will it help? Are there any negative effects possible?
Thanks

If this is hematoma then it can be treated with surgical incision and drainage or you can wait till this pulls back spontaneously . Wish you good health.Regards

Could you please explain why it won't help when the uses of the hirudoid cream state that it can be used to treat hematoma?
Brief Answer:
Follow-up
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Hirudoid is a type of heparin and it may dissolve blood clot after injuries or thrombophlebitis and vein clots. In your case there more probable that external anal vein is broken and that there is liquid hematoma under the skin or external hemorrhoids and in this case the efficiency of Hirudoid is limited.
Hope this is clear now.
Wish you good health
