Suggest Treatment For A Ruptured Abscess

Question: Hi I have a small wound and hole in between my legs. This is red in color , smelly pus discharge is also seen. What can this be? , when I consulted a doctor on phone , he told me that this is because of infection and suggested me to take CIFRAN-500 mg and LYSER FORT. I am tensed as to what this could be as I see a smelly pus discharge. Please suggest.

Hi
As per your description, it looks like a ruptured abscess.
But,I prescribe Antibiotic like Clindamycin capsule 600mg thrice daily which acts on Gram positive bacteria and anaerobic bacteria. I will also add anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
Please do dressing daily until it is completely healed.
Nothing to worry.
It will come down.

Thank you for your help. I just met a doctor in nearby clinic and he told me the same that this is just an abscess and nothing to worry. He prescribed me one ointment and a couple of antibiotics for a duration of 5 days. He concluded this immediately after seeing it. Thank you for your help.
