![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I have a spot or scar on my penis. It is where I had cryotherapy done to remove a genital wart 2.5 years ago. Is the spot/scar normal?
Brief Answer:
Scar after cryotherapy is common.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can understand your concern.
The best way to evaluate a scar,is to have a look at it.
For this, you'll need to send a photo of the scar.
Generally,we do see scars after cryotherapy for skin lesions, including warts.
So it should not be any cause for worry, unless there's changes like :
1. recent increase in size of scar.
2. itching over scar.
3. increased redness over scar.
4. swelling over the scar.
5. discharge from the scar edges.
For an expert opinion, send the picture of the scar.
Wish you well.
