Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query and picture. It looks like fungal infection or eczema.
Is it a solitary one or you have in any other place?
Do you remember anything have bitten you?
Have you been to forest or bushy places exposing Shin?
For fungal infection or eczema i would recommend creams with combination of antifungal like miconazole and corticosteroid like hydrocortisone for local application. This is available as over the counter also in brands like Daktarin, etc.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.

I remember playing with my nieces in their back garden. There were a lot of insects flying around, so I may have been bitten then, but doesn't seem like a bite.
It is a solitary rash.
I haven't had eczema since I was a child so I wouldn't have thought it was that, but it's possible.
Other info that may help: it becomes clear when I apply pressure to it.
Would a fungal infection stay for a few weeks?
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Insect bite or caterpillar bite also can give such picture.
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
Thank you for your follow up.
Fungal infection usually wont stay solitary for few weeks. It can be possibly insect or caterpillar bite as you have been to garden.
In such case combined corticosteroid and anti fungal agents will help also. So you can go for creams with hydrocortisone and miconazole. You can apply this after a warm saline wash.
Let me know if anything not clear. I am happy to help you.
