Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your question on HCM
I do understand your pain and discomforts
As per this report it indicates some inflammation as well as infection to your pancreas and pain is due to that only.there are many causes for it and as per your report a gallstone or alcoholism might be the causes in your case so to know more you have to confirm it by an ultrasound examination only.so as you have pain tell your doctor to admit you and keep you on drip only to stabilize your condition.you will be added pain medication and an antibiotic if it is severe in IV only. After your condition is fully stabilized you will be treated for underlying conditions and surgical treatment might be required.
You can do few things at home which may help you at home -
1)stop drinking alcohol and quit smoking
2)choose a low fat diet like fruits and vegetables.
3)pancreatitis can cause dehydration so drink plenty of fluids, cleaner water.
4)Take pancreatic enzymes before your meals which are OTC medications.
5)Yogurt with live, probiotic cultures is another amazing food that is good for your pancreas or Turmeric, a popular spice used in day-to-day cooking, is also good for your pancreas. Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of milk and drink it once each day.
6)Another fruit beneficial for your pancreas is red grapes.Red grapes are rich in a compound known as resveratrol, another powerful antioxidant that can protect the tissues of the pancreas from free-radical damage. By protecting against free-radical damage, red grapes help reduce the risk of pancreatitis or pancreatic cancer.
Hope that helps
