Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Discomfort And Vomiting

Gastritis, PPIs, Upper GI bleed, assesment for Endoscopy
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
In the presence vomiting out blood or hematemesis , endoscopy should be planned to look for the cause of such an upper gastrointestinal bleed, in consultation with a gastroenterologist. It can be gastritis for which PPIs like pantoprazole can be advised for a month. With PPI use the symptoms would resolve most likely if the endoscopy is unremarkable and shows mucosa erosions, only. Antacids alone wont be helpful. If the burning and tenderness is associated with specific foods then they should be identified. In this case ranitidine which is an H 2 blocker would be more helpful.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
