Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Flatulence
Question: I have had strong gas pains most of today. It is strongest below my belly button. The closest thing I can compare it to is labor pains. I am not pregnant. I have taken two Gas-x tablets today, is there anything else I can do?

Hi, I've gone through your query in details,
Pain through out the abdomen and particularly below belly button could be due to infection of the gut.
Most of the gaseous distension and discomfort will be due to swallowed air. It will be relieved gradually in due course of time or with Gas-X which contains Simethicone. As there is no relief, infection of the bowel should also be considered. It can be due to contaminated food or water.
In my patients, I prescribe Antibiotic like Levofloxacin 250mg twice daily after food, Pre and probiotic capsule twice daily after food, Capsule Pantoprazole before food once daily to my patients with similar complaints.
Early appendicitis also present in the same manner.
