Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain And Leg Edema After Discontinuing Furosemide

Question: When I collapsed a few months ago, and it turned out I had had an intestinal infection , my doctor prescribed furosemide for me. I stopped taking it some weeks ago. Now I have pain in my abdomen and hips when I am in bed, and have to get up a few times each night to urinate. I do not have high blood pressure or any other problems, except some swelling in my legs. Should I resume taking furosemide?
