Brief Answer:
It could be due to Acid peptic disease.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
As per your description, you had spasmodic pain. It could be due to Acid peptic disease.
I prefer a Proton pump inhibitor like Rabeprazole along with Levosulpiride instead of Rantac.
You can eat normally.
You should have your dinner before 8 pm and maintain some time gap before you sleep.
Eat frequent small meals.
Avoid spicy food.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Thank you Doctor.
I worry that it may be a gall bladder attack/ stones even though I have been diagnosed with Acid Refux Disease.
But I have minimal discomfort all day today. Just feels like there is some inflammtion type discomfort right now but much better
I will and have been eating very minimal dry food no spices, bland today and tomorrow.
Will take you advice and if pain returns like last night will see someone /ER.
Thanks much
