Suggest Treatment For Abrasion Injury To Labia

frictional injury causing inflammation...explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello ,
Well it appears that you have had an abrasion injury at the labia. This has turned red and inflamed and itchy. Itching sometimes is associated with inflammatory reaction along with pain and swelling. (If it is secondary to injury alone)
In case you are still suffering from bacterial vaginosis and have not been treated and there has been a vaginal discharge as well and the itching has started with the vaginal discharge as well, then it can be attributed to fungal cause.
I would like to advise you to apply OINT SOFRAMYCIN locally over the scratch wound thrice a day for 5 days. Keep the local area dry. This is an antiseptic which shall take care of the infection.
I also suggest you cetrizine 5 mg twice a day. This is over the counter medication in most of countries. Also, avoid repeated scratching over the wound as it would make it further inflamed. Watch for 5 days, if the wound heals, then you may stop the cream and we can safely attribute it to scratch.
If not, and the itching persists, then we may have to treat it with anti fungal.
But to start with you may start applying ointment soframycin which is easily available over the counter.
regards,
