Question : I am going to have surgery in my front lower jaw to fill an absess with cadaver bones. I would kike to read up on the procedure, any search words for this type of surgery would be appreciated.

The procedure that you are being advised to get done is "BONE GRAFTING" procedure for the bone loss caused due to abscess..

It is a procedure that is done to fill up the voids / defects in alveolar portion of jawbone caused due to infection or other causes and in your case if there is abscess that has caused the bone damage then it is probably due to infection..

In the bone grafting procedure, graft material is placed in the target area and the gum is stitched and gradually the bone is formed in the area and the defect is filled up with the help of graft material..
