Suggest Treatment For Absence Of Periods

Question: Hello! My name XXXXXXX I am 43 years old. Please I want to know how to restore my menstruation. I had my last period on 30th of September it was very heavy and lasted for more than 7 days. This month I haven't seen it but having some watery discharge. Does it mean I'm in menopause?
Brief Answer:
tests advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, yes this can be an early indication of menopause.
Wait for your periods and on day 2 of periods get these blood tests done viz FSH, AMH, TSH and prolactin.
It will tell you your hormone status and further management.
As it is if you have completed your family there is nothing to worry.
Just take calcium tablets daily and in case you have heavy flow take tablet tranexemic acid 500 mg thrice a day for 3 days and you will be fine.
Do this for 3 months but in XXXXXXX not relieved then get an ultrasound done to see for endometrial thickness.
Take care.

Dear Dr., Thanks for your answer. I just getting married this December and we were planning to start a family. I would like to know if there are medication that can restart my menstruation cycle again. Or what are my other options for now? I am very worried. I should have had my menstruation on 27th of October, but there is no sign of it coming..
Brief Answer:
duphaston advised
Detailed Answer:
Take tablet duphaston 10 mg twice a day for 5 days.
After stopping it you will get periods in 3-5 days time.
After you get your periods, start taking cyclical progesterone.
Take duphaston 10 mg twice a day from cycle day 15-25 for 10 days (taking first day of periods as day 1 of menstrual cycle).
This will help in regularising your periods and help in supporting pregnancy if occurs.
All the best.
