Detailed Answer:
Hi
I read carefully all your concerns and I can say as follows:
1. Your symptoms like food back up expecially when you lay down are typical for acid reflux disease.
This is why to my opinion you should perform upper endoscopy to better evaluate esophageal sphincter and stomach issue.
2. Meantime I suggest to :
- use PPIs like prilosec OTC
- use antacids like gaviscon
- eat often and small amount of meal
- avoid coffee, chocolate, carbonated drinks
- avoid spicy and fatty foods
- use two pillows when you lay down
- eat 3-4 hour before bed time
Hope it was helpful to you!
