Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,

Welcome to healthcaremagic. I am Dr.Senduran answering your query.

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns..

Regarding your gastrointestinal problems(Acidity, constipation)--

Dietary modifications would play an important role in preventing such episodes i.e

1) Avoid increased acid producing foods and beverages like high fatty meal, deep fried foods, coffee, alcohol etc..
2) Rice and polished grains can be replaced by brown rice, whole grains(wheat, oats etc)
3) Encourage gradually fibers in your diet in the form of fruits, vegetables..
4) Regular meals can be split to 4 or 5 XXXXXXX meals..
5) Drink plenty of oral fluids(avoid drinking water during meals as it can disturb the normal digestive process)

Medications that help:
1) During acute episodes---Over the counter Antacids, antihistamine tablets like rantac.
2) To prevent such acidity problems--- Drug Combination of PPI and a prokinetic would help like Pantosec-D once or twice a day
3) Safer laxatives like lactulose syrup, bisacodyl tablets for constipation if it is refractory to diet changes.

I would advice you to consult this with a doctor preferably gastroenterologist who is expert in diagnosing such disorders with clinical examination, endoscopy(to visualize your upper GI tract to rule out any ulcers) and also treatment with similar kind of above medications.

Regarding your headache..Need more information to find underlying cause for appropriate treatment..

1) Since when are you suffering with such back side headache?
2) Can you explain the character of pain? Like pulsatile, dull aching?
3) Is the pain continuously present or presenting as acute episodes?
4) Does headache associated with nausea, vision disturbances?
5) What makes the pain to aggravate and what reduces your pain?
6) Do you have any other systemic illness like hypertension, diabetes etc?

With this information, I suspect cervical spondylitis, a degenerative disc disease..

Brief Answer:
May be Tension type headache..

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Thanks for the updated information.

The pus cells(within normal limit) in the urinalysis is not of much significance. But as you are symptomatic,a short course of antibiotics like nitrofurantoin, ciplox is to be considered. Also you can consume sodium citrate liquid(citralka) mixed with water twice or thrice after getting advice from your treating doctor.

As for as headache, the history is not typical for any particular diagnosis.A neurological evaluation is needed to rule out the likely possibilities of cervical spondylitis(degenerative disc disease) and also tension type headache(with or without migraine component).Imaging of cervical spine with X-ray or MRI would be needed to find signs of disc pathology after physical examination.Once the diagnosis is established, specific management can be implemented..

But considering your young age, irregular episodes of pain/heaviness and localisation--->I suspect this might more likely to be tension related headache which doesn't need much of medical intervention except proper lifestyle modifications and stress relief..

In mean time,

1) You can take tylenol or NSAID's like ibuprofen, naproxen for pain relief..If pain is disabling, combination drug of paracetomol and opioid analgesic like vicodin is needed with doctor's prescription.
2) Apply hot fomentation/ice pack over the neck region to relieve the muscle spasms
3) Use soft neck braces(as only a short term aid)
4) Follow proper neck posture i.e avoid rapid movement involving neck..
4) Have good sleep, practicing yoga, relaxation exercises would help get relief from stress.
5) Simply, try to find and avoid the triggers that provoke the backside headache and heaviness.

I would suggest you to discuss the above with a local doctor preferably neurologist/neuropsychiatrist for detailed evaluation and also for specific management.Particularly,if you are getting such issues episodically and occuring over long duration ..

Hope i have answered your query..If any further query, don't hesitate..

Take care and wishing you good health.

Regards
