There are two important aspects in the management of these scars. The first is prevention of recurrence and second is management proper.
The lesions presented in the images would require two main classes of medications. Antibiotics applied topically like Fucidine, macrolides (neomycine) and secondly, steroids. Drug combinations, generally available containing antibiotics and steroids are generally appropriate.
Preventing recurrence with drugs like Doxycycline, taken 100mg daily for 21 days have proven to be generally effective.
