Suggest Treatment For Acute Mechanical Back Pain
Question: Hello,
I am a 40 year old woman with normal weight (124 pounds to 5'6' height). I am fairly active and used to do athletics competitively (running and ballroom dancing), but do not work our vigorously currently, since the birth of my second daughter who is no 1 year old. I have Type 2 diabetes and high cortisol levels (neither which I should have, but there it is), which I control through eating very little carb and natural medications (like Tumeric and Ginger).
I often have upper and between shoulder blades back aches in my muscle from sitting at the computer, lifting the baby etc., but this time the pain seems to be in my spine in one particular spot, not in the muscle, which started to be sensitive if I pressed against it (maybe 4 days ago), but by now it hurts all the time, especially when I move or lift something (still originating from that spot which is very sensitive to touch, but if I touch my back around it, it does not hurt at all). It almost feels like a bad bruise, and it is getting worse; however, I do not remember doing anything to it. I did plant some roses so I did lift heavy pots, plus I did practice some dancing which includes throwing my head back in whiplash movement, however I do both activities often and I don't recall hurting my back. What could cause this and how could I help the healing process? Thank you! XXXXXXX
