Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
I will need more information.
1. Does the pain reduce when you continue to walk?
2. does the pain come on stepping up from sitting position?
3. Where exactly is the pain- upper part of foot meaning? Heel?
4. Any redness?
5. Any swelling?
6. Any past history of similar pain?
7. Any other medical problem?
Meanwhile you can take a conventional pain killer like Voveran with an antacid.
Let me know the response for more suggestions.
Best of luck.Dr Mittal

Brief Answer:
Possible plantar fascitis
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
I have read your message.
I think it would be plantar fascitis.
I would suggest testing with a x ray foot ap lat, uric acid , RA factor, ESR.
These tests are needed because without examination, plantar fascitis would be a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning other causes have to be ruled out as well.
Let me know when you get the tests.
Meanwhile, if you are heavy weight, loose weight.
Get soft heels for your footwear.
Stretch your feet as many times as possible. For this you need to pull your foot up towards your leg. In plantar fascitis, it may hurt initially, but will improve with prolonged and repeated stretching.
Of none of the above help you will need to meet a orthopaedic surgeon for a injection of steroid at the foot.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information contained in this message will be able to help you find the best solution for your problem. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
