Brief Answer:
Symptoms suggest of acute pharyngitis or acute tonsillitis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the query.

From the symptoms described by you, I feel that you might be suffering with acute pharyngitis or acute tonsillitis. Pharyngitis is infection and inflammation of the pharyngeal wall and tonsillitis is infection and inflammation of tonsils. If you have enlarged tonsils then it would suggest tonsillitis. The treatment for both are similar.

Please follow these measures which will help in resolving your symptoms:
1. XXXXXXX warm salt water gargling twice to thrice a day.
2. Avoid cold and refrigerated food items and drinks.
3. Tab. Sinarest three times a day after food for 4 to 5 days.
4. Oral lozenges like strepsils or XXXXXXX as and when required.
5. Betadine oral wash twice a day.
6. Ambrolite expectorant cough syrup 2tsp three times a day.
7. A course of antibiotics like Azithromycin would be required. As this is a prescription drug, you need to see a doctor for prescription.

Hope this answers your query. If any further clarifications, will be happy to help you.

Regards.
