Brief Answer:
Features are suggestive of acute tonsillitis with high cholesterol

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi

I can understand your concern and I have also gone through the uploaded results done between Dec 14th and 30th 2015.

1. According to the pus culture and sensitivity report, the bacteria responsible for the infection of tonsils was Klebsiella which is found to be sensitive to most of the commonly used antibiotics EXCEPT Cotrimoxazole & Ampicillin+Sulbactam combination. You need a course of suitable antibiotic like Cefpodoxime or Amoxyclav to eradicate the infection.

2. The lipid profile shows HIGH cholesterol, LDL cholesterol & Triglycerides (including their ratios).
You need to take drugs like Atorvastatin+Fenofibrate once daily to reduce the high cholesterol and triglycerides.

Besides the above medications, you need to have certain lifestyle changes like:

Avoid fatty meals (both veg & non-veg), fast and junk foods.
Eat home cooked foods, increase the intake of fruits and vegetables, and DO REGULAR EXERCISE.

3. The liver function test shows HIGH GGT level which is suggestive of some liver problem like fatty liver (?? alcohol liver disease).
So, avoid taking alcohol (if you are consuming).

4. The fast blood glucose and the HbA1c are within the normal range.

Hope the suggestions given above could be useful.
If you have any follow up query, I shall be happy to answer.

Best regards.

Brief Answer:
Lab tests to identify the germs & the most effective antibiotics to kill'm

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX Hi
Good morning.
Thanks for your reply and the compliments.

Basically C/S test is the lab test that is done on different body fluids, such as blood, urine, PUS (in your case), saliva, breast milk, spinal fluid, or discharge from the vagina or semen to IDENTIFY the germs (such as bacteria or a fungus) that can cause an infection.
For a culture, a sample of body fluid like blood is added to a substance that promotes the growth of germs. If no germs grow, the culture is negative. If germs that can cause infection grow, the culture is POSITIVE.
The type of germ may be identified using a microscope or chemical tests. Bacteria usually grow quickly in a culture (2 days), while other types of organisms, such as a fungus, can take longer.

A sensitivity test checks to see what kind of medicine (an antibiotic) will work best to TO KILL THE OFFENDING GERMS and thus to treat the illness or infection.

Susceptibility means the ability of the antibiotic to kill a particular germ like in your case it is KLEBSIELLA species.

Hope this answers your query.
Kindly rate the answers if you do not have any follow up query.
Best regards.

Brief Answer:
You need to take medications

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for your reply and the compliments.
As suggested earlier you need to take medications to lower the high cholesterol & triglycerides.
Besides, he home remedies to reduce the high fat levels:
1. Avoid fatty meals
2. Eat home cooked meals, increase the intake of fruits and vegetables cooked in less oil
3. Do regular exercise.
Glad to know that you are a non-alcoholic.

It's not a serious matter however high cholesterol and triglycerides are the important risk factors for the development of heart disease due to deposition of fat (cholesterol) in the blood vessels of the heart or other organs.

Hope this answers your query.
A feed back is appreciated.
Best regards.
