Question: My 47 year old son who has advanced MS took two hydrocodone-acetaminophen 5-325mg and one Modafinil 100mg about four hours ago. He cannot articulate but is conscious and understands our questions. Because of the MS he has no use of his left arm or left leg. He can no longer rise to a seated position without aid.

I read your query carefully vut I am afraid you do not seem to make a specific question. Were those drugs taken by accident, is it the first time he is taking them, are you worried about side effects or interactions? Has his condition changed in these few hours after taking the medication?

The dosage he has taken is not a big one, it is on the low side of a therapeutic dosage. So he shouldn't be feeling any major side effects. Of course every patient is different and a MS patient is a little more vulnerable to central nervous system effects, but even if that is the case it is something temporary and with the drugs being eliminated their effect will fade away without any consequences.
