How Can Persistent Nausea And Vomiting Despite Taking Provigil Be Treated?

I have been taking nuvigil for about 4 months and have developed nausea and vomiting. Recently changed to Provigil in hope of losing the sick feelings. It is better but still have the nausea and it does not work as well as the nuvigil. Is there any medication I could take to counter this problem?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Noted the history and understood the concerns.

You have been already taking Nuvigil and Provisil and has not been helping much. Continued nausea should be investigated in the following ways: Clinical evaluation to see for likely causes.

Investigations:
Liver and kidney functions.
Serum electrolytes to see for any derangement.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
Upper GI Endoscopy.

All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and guide for further management.

Take care.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant,
General Surgeon
