Suggest Treatment For Allergy On Eyebrow

default
Posted on Fri, 29 Jan 2016
Question: Above my eyebrow, I have some type of allergic reaction. It started out fairly small and not very noticeable. Now when I get hot or sweaty, it seems to become more red and spread out. Not sure if its staph infection or some type of acne?

Brief Answer:
consult a physician for antihistamine medication and antibacterial cream

Detailed Answer:
Hello xxxxxxxxxxx1688 ,
Thank you for writing in to us at health care magic. This is Dr.Riyanka Chail glad to be answering your query.

It seems like an allergic condition. If i was your treating physician i would recommend:
An over the counter antihistamine drug cetrizine 10mg (available as zyrtec in usa) at night daily for 5 days.

If there is any local rise of temperature near the site then you can apply an over the counter antibacterial cream containing Neomycin/polymyxin B/bacitracin.

If it does not give relief and increases kindly consult a physician for oral medications. Also avoid scratching the area and avoid too much exposure to sun as a precautionary measure.

Hope this answered your query.
