Suggest Treatment For Allergy To Breast Milk
Question: 4 MO seemingly allergic to breastmilk (eczema, but no spit up or gas). Alimentum or Nutramigen prescribed. Why not regular formula (i.e. Similac Advanced)? She's not cow protein allergic far as we know.

Breast milk is hypoallergic and rarely causes eczema. But when it is suspected of causing allergic reaction like eczema, regular formula feeds like Similac is not advisable as the risk of severe allergic reaction is more.
In such cases hypoallergic feeds like Nutramigen is preferred.
