Suggest Treatment For An Episode Of Syncope

Question: Dear Sir on a trip to goa, today morning after a brisk walk I lost consciousness and luckily my Colleagues were there and rushed me to hospital. Where I was diagnosed with 1episode of Syncope. First time it happened with me. The hospital took my BP, ECG and blood sugar all were normal. I have been advise to stop my BP medicine and further consult you. Will meet you next week when I am back. Regards XXXXX

Brief Answer: There seems to be no cause for concern Detailed Answer: Hi Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day Dear Mr XXXXXXX I assume that prior to this episode you were maintaining good health. Everyone of us during their lifetime would have experienced an episode of syncope. It could occur due to following 1. Sudden pooling of blood in lower limb 2. Intense heat (very much likely in goa) 3. Excessive sweating 4. Inappropriate clothing: synthetic clothes. These could be some of the causes.
