Suggest Treatment For An Open Wound With Presence Of Blood Clots

Question: Attached image of my wound
Brief Answer:
Open wound
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query in HealthcareMagic,
I have gone through your attached pic,
It does look like a open wound, which may get infected if not closed with sutures. Also there seems to be residual amount of blood clots present within.
I would suggest it best for you to get it checked by a doctor in a casualty and if needed, get it sutured, so that it does not get infected.
Yow will also be required to take a course of antibiotics.
For pain, you may consider taking T. CHYMORAL FORTE twice daily for 5 days.
I hope this helps,
Please feel free to discuss further or else kindly close and share your positive feedback,
Regards

I got slipped in bathroom & through the sharp edge of stone a cut came below my eye. Area around wound has become bit dark. I cleaned it with dettol & applied soframycin & covered it with cotton in the morning. Now I have kept it open so that it gets healed fast. Can I keep it open when in indoor.
Do I need titanus injection.
Further can I apply water over the injured part.
Can I apply ice pack near the wound .

Hello,
Thanks for writing back,
Extremely sorry for the delay in replying back,
Thanks for re-attaching another photo of the wound.
The second pic, which is clearer, shows a slight reduction in the surrounding dark area, which means the hematoma formed is resolving.
You may keep the wound open if it is not deep, but personally, if its a lacerated wound, I would recommend dressing the wound in aseptic conditions.
Soframycin is a topical antibiotic, and so if applied, I would suggest you to keep the wound closed by a gauze piece rather than cotton. Also it is better to keep the area dry, as moisture may cause bacterial growth.
If you have not had your booster tetanus in the recent years, you should get a tetanus shot done asap.
Applying ice pack over the dark area will help in resolving the hematoma faster.
I hope I have answered to your query,
Please feel free to discuss further,
