Suggest Treatment For Angiokeratoma On Penis
Question: Upon grooming I found two moles on the shaft of my penis. I don't know how long they've been there as I haven't shaved in months. The bigger is exactly 1/4 in.

I am highly thankful to you for sending the pictures. Let me first reassure you that your spots are simple condition known as "Angiokeratoma".
To tell you about the same- "Angiokeratoma" of the scrotal skin is a very common condition which anyone of us can get. Angiokeratoma is formed due to over proliferation of blood vessels forming a purple red coloured mark first and then becomes darker in color which you can see in present pictures.
It is a totally benign lesion so you should not be worried about any type of cancerous growth too. It has also not got any relation with any sexually transmitted infection too. So first and foremost relax your mind for any possibility of Sexually transmitted diseases or any malignant growth.
It can heal by itself and the surrounding skin can get pigmented as you can see in your one of the lesion.
Similar type of new lesions may also develop over the same site or at other site. So do not get worried for the same as is quite normal natural phenomenon.
It doesn't require any treatment but even if the person is really anxious then I remove it with radio-frequency machine.
It has no impact on your married life so do not get worried about the same. I hope this information will relax you completely. I will be glad to reply any further queries.

Thank you for your answer. These are on the shaft, not precisely the scrotum. Are there circumstances (such as changes in color) under which I should have them biopsied?

These angiokeratomas are common on the skin of genital area in males. I can see these are present on the base of skin of penis.
These are very much benign lesion and generally can become raised or can become flattened and is perceived as dark brown marks only. This is quite normal and natural change in these lesions.
In general there is no need to go for biopsy but in certain cases where the person is really anxious then I generally go for punch excision of the area and then go for histo-pathological examination.
You can visit a dermatologist and get it removed in case if you are really anxious regarding these.
