Suggest Treatment For Anxiety Caused By Hypersexuality
Question: Hi! i will be honest with my question. I am in my mid twenties and still a bachelor and have a very high sexual drive. It is interfering with my professional life and my personal life as well and its becoming an addiction. I desperately want to lower my libido and take this sexual thoughts (arousal) out of my mind.
I tried to hold on for at least 5 days without masturbation but couldn't. I just couldn't proceed further after the 3rd day because my body was shivering and I felt like i was suffering from a shortened breathing and so I let it lose. So now, how can I lower my testosterone levels because I want to lower my libido as much as possible.
Also Am I suffering from some kind of sexual problem/disease or is it that i have to visit a psychiatrist?
Please Advice and thank you.

When the sexual urge begins to disturb personal ,social or professional life, it is certainly abnormal. This is called Hypersexuality . What you are describing about the symptoms when you stop masturbation are those of anxiety. It is a fairly common problem so no need to panic. There are fair number of ways to address the issues. Non medicines way can be tried as well with behavioural therapy by counsellors. You can try medicines SSRI like Fluvoxamine , dose to be raised up to 300 mg slowly but this is a prescription drug You need to visit a local doctor for prescription. It will lower your libido.
