Suggest Treatment For Anxiety

Posted on Tue, 3 Oct 2017
Question: I'm not sure how to write this in as few words as possible. I am dealing with extremely crippling anxiety that's affecting my everyday life. 3 years ago i had my first panic attack, but after that i would only have a panic attack every few months (probably 5 months apart or so). Then the last few months, i began getting them every few weeks with waves of debilitating anxiety every now and then. Now i have anxiety attacks almost every single day, with maybe a couple of days in between where i'll feel normal. But those normal days are now spent with me terrified of when it's going to end and when i am hit with anxiety again. My anxiety is terrifying, it is usually me feeling completely dissociated, out of my body, and not feeling like reality is normal, almost like i'm looking at the world through goggles. I dont know what to do. Im tired of living in fear of when itll happen again.

Brief Answer:
Serotonin or norepinephrine difficiency

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns.. The progression of of your symptoms suggest the difficiency of serotonin or norepinephrine .. Both hormones play an important role in the psychological function of the brain and their difficiency can lead to progressive increase in anxiety attacks..
I would recommend that you get a blood test for serotonin and catecholamines levels..If found to be low then you will need a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor or serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors..
In the meanwhile , I would recommend that you start cognitive behavioral therapy.. which entails sessions with a therapist to change the way of thinking and behavioral patterns..
This starts by identifying the triggers of your anexity attacks and understanding the thoughts that promote them.
This should be followed by analyzing your negative thoughts and defining how irrational they are..
The last step will include self replacement of these thoughts with another positive ones.. This therapy usually takes from 6-12 weeks and has excellent results.. I hope you find this helpful

Thank you so much. That acthally makes a lot of sense. Ive been meaning to get blood work done the moment my insurance is available (in one month) for issues with my hormones but now i can also check for serotonin/norepinephrine, and i'll definitely see a therapist. Thank you so much for your insight.
