Brief Answer:
Better to get done chest x-ray first

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
No need to take betnesol. It is steroid and should not be given in acute infection.
Also quit smoking as soon as possible. It damages lung defense system and makes you prone to infections.
Better to get done chest x ray first,to, rule out lung infection.
You may need new antibiotic, mucolytic and expectorant drugs.
Hope I have solved your query.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health.
Thanks.

I can understand your concern.
Since you are not having fever,no need to take antibiotics.
Mucolite is good for you and it will clear your congestion.
Also do warm water gargles 5-6 times a day.
Drink plenty of fluids and keep yourself hydrated.
if you still get fever than you should take amoxclav. You should take capsule Augmentin (625) thrice daily for 5 days.
Please let me know,if you had any vaccination.
I will be happy to help you further.
Wish you good health. Thanks.

Thanks for your follow up question on HCM.
I can understand your concern.
Get done influenza vaccine once you are out of this URTI episode.
It should be given annually. This will prevent recurrent viral infection and hence acute attacks of asthma.
