Suggest Treatment For Babesiosis
Antibiotics and antiprotozoal combination therapy; pallinopsia less likely
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
I have gone through your query with diligence and would like you to know that I am here to help. Yes of course there are treatment approaches to babesiosis, but it is only required if the patient is symptomatic; if the patient is asymptomatic then no treatment is required. Treatment options include the following:
+Antibiotic therapy:Clindamycin, azithromycin, etc.
+Antiprotozoal therapy: Quinine (most commonly used), atovaquone, etc.
Usually combination therapy is employed, and so please speak to a specialist about correct treatment options.
As for pallinopsia, it is less commonly but other visual disturbances are common like photophobia, blurred vision, etc.
I hope you find my response both helpful and informative. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I would be more than happy to help.
Best wishes.
I believe we need to look deeper into migraine causes
Detailed Answer:
hello once again sir.
Pallinopsia with chronic shadow images, photophobia are all in my opinion related to the migraines itself. And so I would recommend investigation of all causes for migraines:
+Sleep-wake pattern
+Hormonal fluctuations
+Foods (e.g. cheese, salt, etc.)
+Stress
+Physical factors (e.g sexual intercourse, exercise, etc.)
+Alcohol, wine, caffeine
+Food preservatives
+Tumors
+Medications (e.g. oral contraceptives)
+Extreme weather conditions
and a few other factors.
In my opinion, you should speak to your doctors (neurologist and ophthalmologist required), and if at all you are unhappy with your current consultants then please do try and find a new pair.
I hope and pray you find a cause and solution to your presentation. Please do not hesitate to write to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.
Best wishes.
