Brief Answer:
If you have started complete 5 day course
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
Usually loose stools is viral in nature. Antibiotics are rarely required.
But because of the fact that your child was hospitalised and developed sticky stools, no harm in giving ofm syrup.
I usually give 3ml to my patients with similar weight.
Antibiotics have to be given for a minimum of 5 days.
This is to prevent development of antibiotics resistance.
So to answer your question
Complete 5 days total even if he is ok now.
Wishing your child good health.

Dr Arun

Brief Answer:
3ml, vaccine after the course
Detailed Answer:
1. Yes the reports you mentioned go with bacterial infection.
But 3ml would be the appropriate dose.
2. Give Vaccines after the course of antibiotics is over.
