Suggest Treatment For Back Pain And Peripheral Neuropathy

Question: I have had back pain and neuropathy in my legs for several years and is getting worse. I have been going to doctors who just give me pain pills and have taken therapy but nothing seems to help. I have a hard time getting out of bed in the mornings and by evening time I feel a bit better but, mornings are awful. They diagnosed me with Lumbago which covers a lot I know but what is the best treatment, I hate the thought of not being ambulatory. Any suggestions please !

In my opinion, lumbar spine stenosis should be considered and evaluated further by imaging studies such MRI, before to decide the best treatment possibility.

Conditions that may result in spinal stenosis include herniated disc disease, degerative spine disease, spondylolysthesis ( slipped vertebrae ) etc.

If moderate to severe stenosis is found, treatment includes anti-inflammatory therapy and exercises designed to increase muscle strength and relieve joint loading.

If these measures fail to improve your symptoms, surgery may be considered.
