Suggest Treatment For Benign Lump In Breast

Question: Hi , my breast mammogram and ultrasound shows a solid nodule in the left breast. It measures 6.6 x 5.6 x 3.3 mm and is described as '0.7 cm circumscribed hypoechoic benign-looking ovoid solid nodule'.
I've seen a breast surgeon today and he did an aspiration to do a biopsy.
He said if the results come back as benign and nothing to worry about, there is no need to remove this solid lump.
Is this true? Will the solid lump develop into cancer in future even though now the result may seem to be benign?
Need your advice so that i can contemplate whether i need to see another breast surgeon .
Thank you!

Brief Answer:
As it is benign there is nothing to worry.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. As it is benign confirmed by mammogram and biopsy there is nothing to worry. If it remains unchanged or increase in size or causes pain or feeling uncomfortable or it disturbs you then you can go for surgical excision. Otherwise it can be left untreated and have follow up ultrasounds every year.
There is a slight more risk of breast cancer on women those who have fibroadenoma (benign). As it disturbs you about the thought of cancer better to go for excision surgically. You can approach your present surgeon or another surgeon for this.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
